Michigan Clean Water Action is looking for university/college level student interns who are interested in environmental issues and/or non-profit work. We are looking for students who are motivated and organized to help us with different aspects of environmental protection. Interns will have the opportunity to plan local events, write blogs and letters to the editor, and organize volunteers for a variety of tasks. Interns will also work with policy and campaign staff to ensure that legislative representatives make Michigan’s environment a priority for 2013.

Clean Water Action is seeking a technically experienced videographer, filmmaker and editor for an unpaid internship opportunity at the Minnesota office. Intern will be working on a project to develop short video segments highlighting farmers who are changing their farming practices to have real benefits to the lakes, rivers and streams in Minnesota.

We are seeking one or more interns to assist with our climate change campaign work in 2013. Our current campaign work focuses on the following issue areas:
SUMMER oppportunities for a Marine Debris / Zero Waste Intern
Join Clean Water Action’s Take Out the Trash campaign and help us promote packaging prevention as a way to reduce trash in local and ocean waters. Gain experience advocating for policy for change at the state and local level, including lobbying elected officials and engaging local communities in advocating for change. Work with local businesses to reduce packaging waste and help develop strategies to reduce waste at the source. Interns are involved in a wide array of prgroam work ranging from research, writing, public speaking, event organizing, data analysis, and community outreach. This a full-time internship for the summer of 2013.
Clean Water Action’s California Internship Program offers talented undergraduates, graduates, and beginning professionals hands-on work experience and specialized training in the fields of toxics and waste reduction, climate change and water conservation, marketing and communications, and non-profit development and fundraising. Interns will work under the guidance of our professional staff and will have the chance to contribute directly to meaningful and exciting projects, learn new skills, and gain valuable experience working for a well-respected and growing non-profit.
