Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund are seeking a Director of Finance to oversee the operations of its centralized Financial Center. Clean Water Action is a national, grassroots environmental organization that works to protect the environment and safeguard public health, promote passage of strong environmental laws, and help communities address local environmental problems affecting them. Clean Water Fund is a national research and education organization which promotes the public interest on issues related to water, waste, and toxics. The organizations have a combined budget of $15 million and the Financial Center has a staff of seven FTE’s.

Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund seek a motivated communications manager to play a lead role in implementing advocacy campaigns to protect clean water in California by conducting internal and external communications activities. Clean Water Action is a national organization working for clean, safe and affordable water, prevention of health-threatening pollution, creation of environmentally-safe jobs and businesses, and empowerment of people to make democracy work. Clean Water Fund conducts research and public education and organizes grassroots coalitions and campaigns to protect the environment, public health, and local communities.
Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund are hiring a campaign organizer to help develop and implement the organization’s environmental initiatives in Baltimore and statewide. We seek an energetic and experienced organizer who will work within a leadership team to spearhead our environmental campaigns. Clean Water Action is a national citizens’ organization with 1 million members, including 165,000 in the Chesapeake region, working for clean, safe, affordable water, prevention of health threatening pollution, creation of environmentally safe jobs and businesses, and empowerment of people to make democracy work.
Most interns work minimum 15-20 hours per week for the semester; however, each internship experience is tailored to the candidate to ensure the maximal benefit. There is an option for a paid internship at $10/hr if they work in tandem with the programs department and field canvass. Interns will have mid-semester evaluation.

Michigan Clean Water Action is looking for university/college level student interns who are interested in environmental issues and/or non-profit work. We are looking for students who are motivated and organized to help us with different aspects of environmental protection. Interns will have the opportunity to plan local events, write blogs and letters to the editor, and organize volunteers for a variety of tasks. Interns will also work with policy and campaign staff to ensure that legislative representatives make Michigan’s environment a priority for 2013.
