Following the Leader

June 29, 2017

I am a canvassing intern for the summer here at Clean Water Action in Rhode Island. In addition to knocking on doors, I got the opportunity to shadow State Director Johnathan Berard for one day to learn how the organization operates on the policy and lobbying side. Next Steps for Howard County Citizens' Election Fund!

April 24, 2017

Update: The Howard County Council voted and passed CB30 (the Citizens' Election Fund) on Monday, June 5th! County Executive Kittleman vetoed the bill, so the work continues to overturn the veto. We need you to email or call your councilmember one last time to thank them for voting for a new way to finance campaigns and ask them to overturn the veto!

Diving into the Legislature

May 5, 2016

You never know what you might run into when activists descend on the statehouse for the Environment Council of Rhode Island’s (ECRI) annual Lobby Day.

Last Wednesday, I was greeted in the rotunda by a group of our allies in the Energize Rhode Island coalition wearing snorkels to demonstrate the kind of gear we’ll all need if we don’t fight the sea level rise that is resulting from Climate Change.
