MONTCLAIR, NJ - Clean Water Action announced today their endorsement of Congressman Tom Malinowski for re-election in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District.

“Congressman Malinowski was part of a wave of pro-environment candidates that New Jersey voters sent to Washington in 2018, and he has maintained a perfect environmental voting record ever since. He stood with farmers, landowners, and environmental activists to defeat the dirty PennEast pipeline, and he is a champion supporter for New Jersey’s clean energy sector. We fought for him in 2018 and 2020, and we will fight for him in 2022,” declared Eric Benson, NJ Campaigns Director for Clean Water Action.

Clean Water Action will be deploying a full-time professional field canvass in the district to get out the pro-environment vote. “We have members and supporters across this district from Summit and Westfield to Sparta and Bridgewater. The people of the 7th district support clean water, clean air, and a livable climate future for their children and oppose taking our state and our country backwards,” said Amy Goldsmith, Clean Water Action’s NJ State Director. She added, “Our canvassers will be knocking on doors in the district until November 8th to make sure we find and mobilize every single environmental voter.”

Congressman Malinowksi scored a 100% pro-environment voting record on Clean Water Action’s most recent congressional scorecard. In the 2018 midterms, Clean Water Action’s field canvass knocked on over 45,000 doors in the district. In this year’s critically urgent race, Clean Water Action will be deploying a full suite of social media, digital outreach, and field canvassing the district to identify environmental voters and following up with texts, phone calls and emails to members.
