PROVIDENCE - Clean Water Action is pleased to announce its endorsed Rhode Island General Assembly candidates for the 2020 election.

“Once our state has effectively dealt with COVID-19, the next looming crisis that our legislature must address is the climate crisis,” said Johnathan Berard, Clean Water Action’s Rhode Island State Director. “There is no longer time to delay action on this issue that will affect in some way the lives, livelihoods, and health of every single Rhode Islander.

“These 14 Senate candidates and 28 House candidates—a full one-third of the General Assembly if each of them is elected—have publicly pledged to immediately address the climate crisis, improve public health, and prioritize equity and environmental justice during their terms,” continued Berard. “It is clear that Rhode Islanders are demanding action on these critical issues and we are excited to support these candidates. We look forward to partnering with them over the next two years.”
