From the Presidency, to Congress, to our State legislature, we need candidates elected who truly support clean water, clean air, and clean energy. You can help! Clean Water Action endorsed 155 candidates for federal and state offices in 2008, with 80 percent of them winning their elections. Below are the winning candidates plus a few still too close to call as of November 6.

On September 3rd, 2008, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed the addition of the BoRit Asbestos Site, located by the Wissahickon Creek at the intersection of Whitpain Township, Upper Dublin Township and Ambler Borough, to the Superfund National Priorities List (NPL).

Clean Water Action has endorsed a candidate in the Presidential race and in Congressional and state legislative races across Pennsylvania.
Philadelphia: Clean Water Action today announced its endorsement of Joe Sestak (D-07) in the 2008 election.
"We are pleased to announce today that Clean Water Action officially endorses the Hon. Joe Sestak for Congress," said Myron Arnowitt, Pennsylvania Director of Clean Water Action. "We are confident that he will continue work to protect Pennsylvania's lakes, rivers, streams and drinking water sources as well as the health of our families and communities."
Environmental Group Cites Water Record
Philadelphia: Clean Water Action today announced its endorsement of Congressman Patrick Murphy (D-08) in the 2008 General Election.
"We are pleased to announce today that Clean Water Action officially endorses Patrick Murphy for the U.S. Congress," said Myron Arnowitt.
