Your Clean Water Legacy

Woman and young girl fishing from pier When you make Clean Water Action part of your estate planning, you are helping to protect and promote clean, safe and affordable water for generations to come.

It can be as easy as remembering Clean Water Action in your will. You may also name Clean Water Action as a beneficiary of your living trust, life insurance or qualified retirement plan.

The Promise of Clean Water: Now and For The Future

When you think of "clean water" what comes to mind?

For some people, the answer is a special day at the shore, a fishing trip along a pristine stream, the morning call of a loon on a moonlit lake, or a neighborhood creek from our childhood.

For others, it is the comfort of knowing that what comes out of the tap is safe for our families to drink. We want to ensure that clean, safe water will be there for our children and grandchildren to enjoy.

Or, as one Clean Water Action member stated in a recent letter, "Clean water equals life itself, for people and for all other creatures."

One thing is certain. Our precious water resources must not be taken for granted.

Everyone can agree that the task of assuring abundant, clean, safe and affordable water, now and for future generations, begins with sound planning.

It also requires a creative and hopeful vision, together with proven strategies that will deliver results for our water and the people who rely on it.

This is a long term commitment. As Clean Water Action's founder, David Zwick, observed more than thirty years ago, "An awakened local citizenry will always be needed to support the tough stands officials will have to take to get the water clean."

Clean Water Action and Clean Water Fund have delivered on that commitment, consistently and effectively over all these years.

Whether you are a long-time member or a more recent contributor to our organizations, you are a part of this Clean Water legacy. You share that vision and commitment.

Now is the perfect time to make Clean Water part of your own long-term plans.

Taking that next step can be as simple as designating Clean Water Action or Clean Water Fund as a beneficiary under a qualifying retirement plan, investment account or life insurance policy, or adding a bequest provision to your will.

By including Clean Water Action or Clean Water Fund in your own long-term plans, your action and foresight will help us continue to make a difference, now and for the future.
