Please vote for reform candidates in this year's Pedernales Electric Co-op board election. Clean Water Action has endorsed Cristi Clement in District 1, Larry Landaker in District 6 and Patrick Cox in District 7.
As a PEC customer, you may vote in all three races no matter where you live within the service area. Online and mail-in voting continues until Friday June 12.
We believe that these are the best qualified candidates to continue the reforms begun by the new PEC management and by the new board members that we helped elect in 2008. We need board members committed to ending the scandals at the PEC and committed to increasing investments in energy efficiency and renewables such as wind and solar. These investments will create local jobs, keep utility bills in check, foster energy independence and reduce pollution.
Under PEC rules, whoever gets the most votes in each race wins, even if they receive less than 50% of the vote. There will be no run-off. This means that every vote is vital!
