Creating Healthy Towns and Schools

Clean Green and Working Logo

Interested in making your town or school a healthier and greener place to live, work, and play? NJEF can help you implement successful programs including green cleaning, integrated pest management, pesticide free zones, idle free zones, and water/energy conservation. These efforts will also set you on the path to becoming a "Sustainable Jersey" certified town.

For the past 20 years, NJEF has helped implement successful green programs in over 100 towns and schools across New Jersey. In 2008, we partnered with the New Jersey Sustainable State Institute at Rutgers University to develop "Sustainable Jersey"--a certification and incentive program for municipalities in New Jersey that want to go green, save money, and take steps to sustain their quality of life over the long term.

NJEF can help your municipality take the first steps towards achieving certification through this program. For more information and to register your municipality, visit www.sustainablejersey.com.

Please call us today to implement any of our green programs including green cleaning, integrated pest management, pesticide free zones, idle free zones, and water/energy conservation. To learn more about our programs and download sample resolutions, visit our healthy schools/healthy towns web page.
