  • What: This free event will be devoted to peace and energy issues and will include awards to the activists, leaders, organizations, companies and media who promote these ideas in the region. Keynote speaker Michael Klare, author of "Shrinking Planet: the Geopolitics of Energy" and "Blood and Oil."
  • Food (vegetarian pizza and homemade desserts) available at the event for reasonable cost. Exhibits include solar installers, energy efficiency information and environmental groups.
  • Who: Event is open to the public.
  • When: Saturday November 22, 2008 5:30pm-6:45pm Exhibits and food; 6:45pm Program starts
  • Where: Unitarian Society of Hartford, 50 Bloomfield Ave., Hartford
