Say NO to dirty water amendment for Chesapeake Bay

Rep. Bob Goodlatte, a long time opponent of efforts to clean up Chesapeake Bay, has crafted an amendment to a federal appropriations bill that prohibits the EPA from using funds to enforce EPA’s Chesapeake Bay clean up.

Clean Water Action is proud to be a member of the Anacostia Park and Community Collaborative (APACC), a community-based coalition to improve Anacostia River parklands, increase access to parklands for local communities, and create a healthy river adjacent to thriving neighborhoods. The National Park Service is updating their management plan for Anacostia Park, an important step forward for realizing APACC's goal of creating a world class urban park in time for the 2018 Anacostia Park centennial.

2017 Legislative Preview

In Maryland, the General Assembly meets every year for ninety days, from January to April. During this time, the State’s legislators introduce legislation on a variety of issues and must work together to pass a budget for the year ahead. With the 2017 Maryland General Assembly Session quickly approaching, Clean Water Action is putting together an ambitious plan to advocate for important legislation that will protect and preserve the environment.
