Stop Trump from rolling back health and environmental protections.
President Trump’s proposed budget would lead to more water and air pollution by slashing funding to programs that clean up New Jersey's toxic sites, protect our waterways, and restore our coastline.
New Jersey's U.S. Senators and Representatives have the power to protect funding for programs that keep our water and air clean and invest in clean energy. Make sure they stand strong against these extreme budget cuts.
The President’s proposed budget would:
- Cut EPA’s budget by 31% — more than any other agency, eliminating more than 50 programs;'
- Slash resources for the Superfund toxic waste cleanup program. This would impact New Jersey more than any other state as we have the most superfund sites;
- Zero-out funding for state and regional programs, including the Passaic River clean-up and N.J. shoreline restoration efforts; and
- Eliminate Department of Energy programs that advance clean energy, and direct more funds to the Department of the Interior to increase fossil fuel drilling and mining on public lands.
Don’t let Trump gut vital protections for our health and environment. Please contact your U.S. Senators and Representative today.
